I have realized, as I have been sitting here typing multitudes of words, spoken by the Siri Singh Sahib, that truly the Generating, Organizing, and Destroying principle and essence of G-O-D-Is at work in these words and the manner of their timing and delivery.  The Organization, by year, by day, by moment, as to what needs to be said to whom, and when, and how, – scientifically, spiritually, emotionally, technically, physically, mentally, consciously, subconsciously, psychologically, psychically, and on and on through the spectrum of human and divine expression – is stupendous and self-evident to any who can see from what divine direction it is issuing forth.

The above story was told by the Siri Singh Sahib at Women’s Training Camp, in the summer of 1976.  It tells of the ideal student, who only through his total unquestioning surrender to his spiritual teacher, can reach God.  The relationship of student to teacher is a relationship of the heart.  It is a relationship of love and obedience, devotion, and trust.  The other two seekers in the story came to the master with intellect and questions.  They came with their heads on their shoulders, instead of their heads in their hands, offering their egos in exchange for the wisdom of the spiritual teacher.

The one thing about the Siri Singh Sahib which has had the greatest impact on me is the way in which he sets an example by living his life for others. There are many stories and incidents which come to mind, but through the past three years that I have known the Siri Singh Sahib, it is his example of selfless living, of dedicating his efforts to helping others without thought of personal gain, which has been the greatest inspiration to me.

With the obstacles surmounted, the fertile bed of our mind was now prepared.  The words of Siri Singh Sahib Ji began to flow forth.  The cleansing action of the White Tantric brought gracefulness to our existence.  The ever inspiring, uplifting energy of the company of the holy, gave us strength, and the magnificence of the Solstice site, painted by God’s hands, filled us with gratitude for His kindness.

Although he lectured to a whole group of different people, I felt the Siri Singh Sahib was talking directly to me.  It seemed he knew what was on my mind and therefore could end all my confusion, which was great, as I was for the first time intensely experiencing Sikh Dharma and the 3HO lifestyle.

I went to the White Tantric course as a yoga student from Smith College. I returned as a newly inspired member of 3HO.  Wahe Guru! I was high in the bliss on the teachings the Siri Singh Sahib shared with us and the chanting of the Nam.

“Our urging to give the White Tantric course is because we want people to experience their polarities, so that they can resolve their duality and have happy lives.  What you have to study in this whole game is who you are and where you are.  That is the greatest spiritual lesson a person can learn; who he is and where he is.  If a man knows who he is, he must know where he is.  In other words, if you do not know what orbit you are in and what the longitude and latitude are, you do not know your destination.”  ~ Yogi Bhajan

The Siri Singh Sahib had told us that the soul of a demon and the soul of a saint are the same, that all souls belong to God.  He had also told us that the worst curse is a self- curse.  What was cured in me was not my soul, but the darkness in which I had engulfed it by my own self-hatred.  For my whole life, I had never respected women for their real beauty, and now in the presence of my wife and the Mahan Tantric, my prayer to become pure for the sake of a woman had been answered.  I was in ecstasy.

In 1969, Yogi Bhajan was the only one teaching Kundalini Yoga.  Critics called it dangerous.  Now, in 1979, the concept of kundalini has become popular and many teachers attach the name of kundalini to any effort at yoga or philosophy and many claim to be masters of Kundalini Yoga.  Yet, it is only Yogi Bhajan who has systematically unfolded such a tremendous wealth of knowledge on the specific technology and practice of Kundalini Yoga.  He has not diluted it and has never strayed from its high standards of commitment and precision.  It is Yogi Bhajan who will be known in the history of human consciousness as our age’s great teacher and Master of Kundalini Yoga.

I cannot believe that I truly have been so blessed in this life to have found such a holy man!  One of the most intense moments that I can recall is that very moment in which I realized this blessing.  At that time, I had a realization that I had nothing whatsoever to fear and that no problem could overcome me because of this gift .It was a spring White Tantric Yoga course, the first one I had attended since I had made the great transition of moving into an ashram.  I was very insecure, very afraid of my future. I was leaving my past forever, for I had taken on a new name, a name which at first made me feel a deep anxiety, as I wondered if I could ever really say in confidence “I am Dev Bhajan Kaur Khalsa.”

The words he spoke went straight to my soul.  It was what I wanted to hear all of my life: “I don’t care if you learn yoga from me or not.  I don’t care if you love me or hate me, that doesn’t mean a thing to me.  All I care is that you should learn to live together in the future as human beings and to take care of each other.”

To achieve Universal Consciousness through any method, you have to raise your kundalini … Now, understand what kundalini is.  Kundal means lock, neck lock.  Kundalini means that coiled energy.  God is like an unlimited coil that separates itself into smaller coils that can uncoil and experience Infinity.  That is the simple reality of this life.  It is so simple, it is so scientific… If that coiled energy is joined with the seat of the soul, i.e. the pineal gland in the brain, what will happen?

During White Tantra, the infinite energy of the universe flows through the Mahan Tantric into all of the participants.  White Tantric is no ordinary yoga.  It cannot be practiced without the Mahan Tantric present because it takes his mastery over emotions for it to be not only effective, but safe.  Partners face each other in lines while the Mahan Tantric physically sits in front of the group and projects his own astral body to encircle the group.  He, thereby, extends own psycho-electro- magnetic field to encompass the group aura.
