Women’s Teachings

Give your children values.  Give your friends values.  If you ever want to be respected, graceful, happy, give other people best of their values. You can only do it if you give yourself best of the values. Don’t seek appreciation. Don’t wait for circumstances. Don’t. Give yourself a chance. Just a chance.

Let it be. God made you a woman, God made you a man. Let it be. Let it be. Don’t brand it, don’t blend it, don’t bend it, don’t change it. Let it be.

Everything in God’s command will give you way. Everything. Give a chance. If you even don’t trust God, don’t believe in God, you don’t know God, forget it, just give a chance. Give the Creator of you and creation a chance, so that you can be who you are meant to be. Question is to be, not to be. Answer is let it be. I am not asking you to hassle, I am not asking you to do everything, just give a chance.

If you are not intuitive, then what you know, whether it is true or it is being told to you as true, or it is covered or it is complicated or, or, or—then who knows? And if you don’t know, you cannot be sure and you are in doubt, you have a conflict. It becomes crisis and crisis puts stress and under stress you get totally numb. Stress does only one thing—it numbs your projectivity, your fastness, your power to adjust. You should be in a position to decide everything in one one-thousandth of a second.

See your power as a woman.
Twist the heavens and squeeze them into the self.
Make all the oceans into just one drop
And out of this bring the self into the everlasting pranic wind
In which you must squeeze all the stars and suns and moons.
And beyond that there is a space where you must excel.
God shall listen to the call of the woman.

On September 22, 1971, Siri Singh Sahib Harbhajan Singh Khalsa Yogiji established GGMWA, The Grace of God Movement of the Women of America.

Through its special teachings, woman was given the tools to regain her self-respect.  These teachings enabled woman to emerge, quickly and easily from her ignoble past, into the radiance of her swan-nature.

Every human being is great, but a good-spirited woman is divine. God created everything, but the power of God flows through a good-hearted woman. Everything is where God is, but God takes birth through the womb of a good-hearted woman. Therefore, a woman may not be God, but she is the gateway of divinity, and any woman who falls below that standard of divinity is only structurally a woman, but not in reality a woman. You can look like a woman, but according to the basic definition of what woman is, that is not true enough. If you make a paper man, it will look like a man, but it won’t be a man. Divinity and dignity—when and where they unite—is called woman.

Every second of the day in camp was utilized. We ended our sadhana with a mile run. We breakfasted fast and dashed off to swimming and tennis. We tilled the land in the garden that provided our food. We clambered over the five foot wall and crawled on our bellies through the dirt of our obstacle course. We learned the noble art of Gatka (Indian sword fighting). At the sound of the bell, we raced to our karate class. Muscles that hadn’t even been thought of in years were restrengthened. We were tested at every turn. The initial trauma of learning to fire the five rounds of bullets turned into a feeling of confidence and power, respect and poise.

After our physical activities, we had intensive Gurmukhi classes; each day we read our Bhanis with more speed, accuracy, and comprehension. Our daily Gurbani classes gave us time to sing and chant together. We lived together, stood together and marched in formation together, through the streets of Espanola while the populous looked on in awe and wonder. We daily marched under the rising sun, learning to command each other as well as to be commanded by each other.

As long as humanity does not learn to respect the woman, there will be no peace on this earth. There will be a war always. In our society, woman is used as a tool of the advertising industry.  Her sexuality is exploited to sell automobiles and whiskey.   The most graceful being on this planet is treated disgracefully as a playmate, as a sexual toy.  When we treat the mother of our next generation in such a lowly, negative manner, how can we expect the human condition to improve?
