The Soul’s Story
I am the immutable Soul which has been coming since the beginning of time.
Innumerable times, the immortal Guru has revealed to me the true Word of God.
I was never born, nor was I raised, nor was I given any education.
No one ever trained me, nor did anyone show me the path to God.
It was Guru Ram Das, who blessed me and took me as his own.
Whatever I have done and whatever I have said, the True Guru himself has caused to be done.

Prayer is a telephone call through the universal exchange. If the current is strong, though the distance is long, it will be heard at the other end; help will come. If the current is weak, it will not be heard. There is nothing wrong with the brain. The prayer is not being heard because the mind energy behind it is not strong enough. That’s all. “The first gift of higher consciousness is the state of equilibrium, where neither praise inflates you nor slander depresses you. That is the first gift if you have experienced the kundalini. In this state, when somebody comes and tells you that you are great, you say that God is great, and when somebody tells you you are an idiot, you still say that God is great. When the kundalini rises in a person, his radiance increases, his arc line increases, and his strength of aura increases. He does not start yelling and going berserk; that is not the effect of the kundalini rising. Yoga is a tool; it is an instrument of Infinity. It is a science through which a person works. It is just like electric current passing through a light bulb. It doesn’t matter if the bulb is seventy-five watts or three watts, the current will still make the light shine. It won’t burn any filament. It will give light to everybody. And one thing it gives to all, it does not allow a person to be depressed.

Prevail and give peace to every heart, happiness to every heart, and bliss to every mind. Give them the greatest virtue: to meditate on You, and praise You with song and being. Give them the greatest ecstasy, the virtue of Naam, the Holy Naam, Sat Nam. Lead their lives on the path of righteousness unto the Infinity of Your righteousness. Save them from those dark pits.
