Getting It Right
You came to me in a dream, or was it?
Facile flashes of
Combinations and permutations
producing atomic structures
of infinite beauty and grace.
Placing wings on my arms
You gently pushed me off a cliff
To fly or fail
With Guru as my safety net.
You applied bani as a salve for my
bruised bones (and ego)
Kindly extending your larger-than-life hand
Again and again
Until I (your humble and most grateful student)
Get it right.
