KWTC Gurdwara Lecture – June 30, 1985

Communication: Its Psychology and Practical Knowledge
Sit and be Sacred
Here’s an excerpt from this lecture by Yogi Bhajan at KWTC (Khalsa Women’s Training Camp) on June 30, 1985.
You do believe this world is yours forever. That’s not true. This world is yours forever if you leave behind some goodness of God. You have come to the summer camp. If you have come here not to learn, then leave. We don’t want you here. And I’m saying, sitting in the Gurdwara, in this congregation, I want you here to learn to be you, not what I tell you to be or how I share with you to be. I want you to be here to learn your relationship with your own consciousness and your own soul. I want you to be here to give yourself a chance so that you can never falter. I want you to be here to learn that grace which is your birthright as a woman. I want you to be here to learn how to get rid of your anger and your debauchery and your weaknesses. I want you to learn here that you should become ever living, ever graceful, ever intelligent and ever perfect woman. If there is any dream, I have dreamed. If there is any reality, I have realized. I am willing to go to any extent to create that reality and bring it to practice.
One thing is very sure which I have also learned. The worst can always be the best. It’s just turning the energy. So I do not want you to live in that guilt consciousness. Worse you are, better you are for me. I know it is not safe but what am I going to lose? I am going to lose nothing. Most rotten is the stuff, best is the manure out of it. That’s why when you tell me, “Sir, I told you I am the worst!” I say, “Yeah, you told me, but something in me told me to take a chance.” So this summer I am willing to take a chance and you have come to take a chance. And let us see what Guru wants. But I welcome those who are rotten, who are worst, who think they are hopeless. Those who are halfway good, halfway bad, that’s a matter of judgement. I’m not going to judge that. But worst is the best because worst could be the best. Those who know how to be worst, they also know how to be best. That makes my work easy.
I love to play with fire because it is the sign of life. Some of you may think you can burn me. Who can bum the fire? Nobody. Fire burns everybody. Don’t even try it. I love to take a chance because I want you to take a chance. Love it; this chance to come to this camp, to the Khalsa Woman’s Training Camp. And I also want to tell you. Not only you should come, but bring your friends, bring your relatives and bring your children, and when I’ll be physically gone, keep it alive, because this will be a source of inspiration for generations to follow. Come for six weeks, four weeks, eight weeks, two weeks, whatever you can afford, to be yourself. Each woman needs that.

Communication, Its Psychology and Practical Knowledge: Women in Training Vol 10 Kindle Edition
by PhD Yogi Bhajan (Author) Format: Kindle Edition
Recognizing the need to educate women about women, Yogi Bhajan created a special summer intensive training program for women called Khalsa Women’s Training Camp (KWTC). The women in training program took place in Española, NM, USA, during summer starting in 1976 and continued for twenty years. Every year he spent up to 8 weeks directly teaching women. He personally lectured and led Kundalini Yoga classes every day, taught special meditations for women and shared ancient secrets on health and diet for women.
“At Women’s Camp, we are asking you to look at yourself, patch up what is torn apart, leave what is excessive, and fill in the gaps. The idea is that all of you who believe in one reality, one thought, who have one goal to achieve and a common spirit to live righteously, should get together and help each other create a new energy. The energy should build up character one by one, micro-consciousness and macro-consciousness. That is what our future is based upon.” Yogi Bhajan
The Women in Training Series represent more than 20 years of lectures on humanology, parenting, nutrition and meditation; they are THE SOURCE for the women’s teachings. Each summer, Yogi Bhajan spent 8 weeks teaching and training the women of 3HO to be radiant, noble and graceful. Or as he would say, “You be You”. He believed that the women’s teachings were the key to unlocking peace and prosperity in the Aquarian Age. These teachings are his legacy and they are the key to your happiness as a woman and your wisdom as a man!.
