Subagh Kriya

November 30, 2006 |

Categories: Kundalini Yoga as Taught by Yogi Bhajan

This is a 5-part kriya.  Each part must be practiced for an equal amount of time, either 3 minutes or 11 minutes.  Do not exceed 11 minutes.  The first exercise of this kriya may be practiced on its own, separately from the other exercises.

“It’s a complete set.  This is all called Subagh Kriya.  If God has written with His own hands that you shall live under misfortune, then by doing Subagh Kriya, you can turn your misfortune into prosperity, fortune and good luck.” ~ Yogi Bhajan

Important Note:

There were mistakes in the write up for this Kriya in the 2006 Aquarian Times Magazine.  Here are the corrections from Tej Kaur Khalsa:

“There are a lot of mistakes in the write up.
1. Yogi Bhajan called it SO bagh kriya several times and even spelled it out at the end of the lecture.
2. Students chanted out loud on #2. He neither corrected them, and did NOT say to be silent. It looks to me like a chanting exercise.
3. A final exercise part 6 was left out. Mudra as in #4 was repeating chanting “Har Haray Haree Wahe Guru” for approx. 20 seconds. He ended this and said, this is a complete set.”

“I’m going to give you a very handy tool, one that you can use anywhere, and you’ll become rich.  To become rich and prosperous, with wealth and values, is to have the strength to come through.  It means that transmissions from your brain and the power of your intuition can immediately tell you what to do.”  ~Yogi Bhajan

  2. Thank you, Tej Kaur. We’ve added your edits to the post above. Unfortunate that they made these errors in the Aquarian Times Magazine. Do you have a better/correct write up of the kriya somewhere that we could replace this information with?
