At times when the path of truth and clarity seems lost, calm yourself and still your mind, then the path will come to you.  To live life according to the guidance of the inner truth is essential.  If you do not, you will have doubts.  If doubts are not removed, then frustration comes in.  Frustration, when not released, leads to anger.  Anger then leads to destructive action either to the self, others, or both.  To stop this vicious cycle, create the habit to still the mind and ask questions of your own higher consciousness.  This  meditation can develop that capacity and strengthen your mental direction.

Learn to clear your mind to receive spiritual guidance whenever you need it.

The yogis spent thousands of years fine-tuning a practical system that can help us learn to use our amazing mind-computers to access our intuition. Using intuition, the choices we make can lead to real happiness in life.  The same way we use a computer to connect to the internet, we can clear the mind of its chatter and connect to the Infinite, the God within.  We have an electronic mouse to easily direct our computer to the internet, but we don’t usually have the training to use our breath and meditation to direct the mind.  So instead of being able to access our inner guidance, we often find the landscape of our mind clogged with volumes of thoughts and feelings.

The purpose of life is not to find God.  I don’t care if you beat me up, you will never convince me that we are here for that purpose.  It is the biggest lie that people believe these days. Why do you want to find God?  God has already found you.  You are only here on this Earth to begin with because of Him. It is amazing what you sometimes let yourself believe.  Even if you could find God, what would you do with Him?  He is not a coconut that you can eat.

With regular practice of this kriya, you will start hearing the inner voice, knowing exactly what is being said inside.

The Siri Guru Granth Sahib is a subtle Word.  It is a permutation and combination of words in ragas (a set of rules of how to build a melody).  If you properly analyze it and understand it, it is beyond wonders.  Slowly people recognize it and come to an understanding of the words.  As was said by John, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”  What was, what is and what shall be, are the same.  One thing remains constant, consistent and carefree, and that is God Himself.  God is not a person – it is a Self-Perpetuating Energy.  And when you become near Divine, you also become a self-perpetuating energy, and then there is nothing good, nothing bad, nothing wrong and nothing high.

If you are gold, you will end up as gold.  In this attitude of life, karmas do not matte.  What matters is the attention you pay to your Creator. ~Excerpted from Yogi Bhajan Lecture, July 21, 2001
