Why can’t I concentrate that each breath has a charge, and each charge is a blessing of the Divine and this blessing is continuous as kiss after kiss after kiss after kiss after kiss? When He is hugging me constantly why am I negative? Why do I not have confidence that I am the child of the Divine? Why do I forget Him? When each breath is the message, each breath is the life, each breath can improve me, each breath is a new hope, why then am I forgetting this valuable and beautiful process of life?

Men need discipline, I agree, but woman needs sixteen times the discipline. When somebody tells woman that she has sixteen times the faculty of man, she feels very happy. But remember she also has sixteen times more destructiveness and she affects sixteen times more. Everything in the case of woman will be sixteen times, both plus and minus.

The purpose to visit planet Earth is not to find God, neither to announce God nor to denounce God. The purpose of coming to planet Earth is to find the sacredness in you and live it. Go to the English dictionary and find out the meaning of sacredness, and then make a program how you are going to find your own sacredness. Then whatever you see, whatever you feel, whatever you want to deal with, whatever you want to talk about, keep it sacred, make it sacred, and whatever is sacred, right or wrong, don’t bother. That is God.

When Yogi Bhajan first started teaching in the United States in 1969, he emphasized certain principles from which he never wavered. “I’ve not come to get students, but to train teachers.”
With an endless flow of inspiration, his words always carry right to the heart of each listener. The same themes appear over and over throughout the years, yet always freshly presented and always expanding greater self-awareness for the student.

Even though we don’t mean to hurt anybody, sometimes we do. The reason is very simple. There are two energies, two polarities in a human mind. One is when you say something to cover the time and the space, and second is when you say something beyond time and space. When you say something to cover time and space, you are not real, because you are living to the moment. But when you say something beyond time and space, you are real.

Very few, if any of us, consistently live in our higher chakras. Assuming we’re all yogis, i.e. trying to live in “higher consciousness,” we spend time every day meditating . Sure, in yoga class, we sit calmly in Lotus, eyes focused at the Ajna Chakra. Meditating on the inflow and outflow of the prana, inhale Sat; exhale Nam . Ah, what bliss! Aspiration, tranquility, and peace-that’s devotion. Then we walk outside, discover a dent in the fender of our brand new Jaguar, or driving home someone cuts us off in traffic. Those expletives we utter are not coming from the heart chakra!

In the same way I understood courage; in the same way I learned to walk tall in my life. I found out another secret. God walks with me in every nook and corner of my life. I always have a companion. I simply pay attention to it. It is there all the time, through thick and thin, and my journey of life is getting completed. Walk with me and pay attention. Surely we will enjoy it and we’ll make the journey so happy that we’ll never get tired. That is the way to walk.

When you think too much, you become full of thoughts, then you worry. And when you worry, you squeeze, you contract. Your joy is gone. Your happiness is over. Your money is of no worth. Your home is of no use. Your children do not even look at you. All this you create and then you blame others. Let your ego go.

Yogiji explained that at the moment of death, your spiritual teacher will be there with you, I was not surprised. I had the experience before the information. It is in the power of the teacher to deliver the what, where and when that each student needs to achieve their destiny. Even as hundreds of us sit in a class taught by the master, the personal experience is not lost. Each one hears those words as they are meant for us as individuals. It is in this personal universal message of the teacher that we hear the truth of our identity, and even in the moment of death, we are not lost, not forgotten, not without a path toward our higher consciousness.

Naad is the basic sound weaving through all languages throughout all times. This sound comes from one common source, or sound current, but is not a physical sound. It is the universal code behind language and human communication. It is the vibration of the creativity inherent in the Universe and in your inner being.

All given things are there. You have all things. But do you understand that you are beyond that, too? You are everything. Your bathroom tub is broken; you’ve got to repair it. Your door is not shutting properly; you’ve got to repair that. Your car is leaking oil; you have to get it fixed. But you are not a car or an oil leak. These are chores. These are jobs, which consciously, as part of living, we take care of. But the fact is, do we remember we are beyond that?

The opportunity that we are given for a life of consciousness, is to clear this debt and live in the highest peaceful allocated self. Guru Nanak said it all starts from Ek Ong Kar, “the one Creator Who created the creation.” To live in the highest Self is what human life is all about, but we waste our life on small things. Our poverty doesn’t hurt us, but our neighbor’s richness does. We are always competing and comparing and planning and imagining things. We rarely allow the flow of life as God wants us to flow with it.
