Yogiji stayed with the people at ashrams

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, October 1970 – Yogiji chopping wood at the Philadelphia Ashram.

Soorya Kaur (staff member of Yogi Bhajan) shared this photo and these words on page 68 of her book YogiJi – The Light of Our Souls, written in 2005

When Yogiji came to a city to teach, he always lived with everyone at the Ashram. In fact, the Heads of the Ashrams moved out of their rooms and emptied their closets for him. He was aware that this may be the only time the house was sure to get overhauled. Everything was cleaned, repaired, painted and decorated in anticipation of his visit. Things buzzed with excitement in preparation for his arrival, and it was always so hard to let him go when the time came for him to leave.
